Abstract

Every government's only objective is to enhance and transform its respective society. They establish a social compact between the government and the people in order to accomplish this. These laws contain obligations and rights created for the benefit of all members. In a perfect world, citizens would support the government administration by paying taxes and working with it to accomplish its objectives. In exchange, the government enacts laws to protect the social lives of its people. The foundation of social welfare policy, which directs government initiatives to help those in need, is the notion that a government has a duty to safeguard its citizens. The theory states that a society can only flourish if it protects people whose well-being is under danger. Programs that provide public services as well as financial and other support to satisfy specific needs are governed by social welfare policy. For the development of the society's weaker groups, the Tamil Nadu government has implemented a number of social welfare measures. Even though the policies may be well-structured, they are worthless if they are not carried out as intended. The study makes an effort to assess Tamil Nadu's social welfare policies implementation issues by using a documentary and analytical approach to reach a conclusion.
