Data Sharing Policy
Data Sharing Policy
The Asian Journal of Medical Research & Health Sciences (A-JMRHS) encourages transparency, reproducibility, and responsible data sharing to enhance the reliability of published research.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are encouraged to:
-
Make underlying research data supporting the results available to readers, where ethically and legally permissible
-
Clearly describe data availability in a dedicated Data Availability Statement within the manuscript
-
Deposit data in recognized public repositories when appropriate, and provide persistent identifiers or links
Exceptions
Data sharing may be restricted when:
-
Ethical, legal, or privacy concerns apply (e.g., patient confidentiality, sensitive data)
-
Institutional or regulatory limitations prevent public sharing
In such cases, authors should clearly state the reason for data restriction and indicate whether data can be made available upon reasonable request.
Reviewer and Editorial Use
-
Reviewers may request access to underlying data during peer review when necessary for evaluation
-
Editors ensure that data-sharing practices comply with ethical standards and journal policies
Compliance
Failure to provide an appropriate data availability statement or to comply with reasonable data requests may affect editorial decisions.
